Car Warranty Insurance
Car warranty insurance is offered on new and sometimes used autos in case any breakdowns or problems happen while you have the car. That way if there are any problems or breakdowns with the vehicle, it will be fixed with no out of pocket money or expense from you. Unless there is a deductible. A deductible is usually in the amount of two hundred to five hundred dollars.
Most car warranty insurance policies last for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes to pass first. So after the warranty or the mileage expires, your car is left unprotected against breakdowns, wear and tear, and other things that may happen, and you will ultimately have to pay for it out of your own pocket. This can be quite a burden when it happens to someone unexpectedly with no back up plan in place.
That is where buying extended car warranty insurance or third party car warranty insurance companies come into the picture. Car insurance warranty and an extended car warranty are basically one in the same. An extended car warranty is the warranty that will be purchased and kicked in after the original car warranty has expired.
You can always buy one of these extended warranties from the original manufacturer, but be prepared to spend a few dollars to get it as they are much more expensive than an original warranty. They do not come cheap because the older your car gets, naturally, the more inevitable problems it will most certainly have.
Hence the high expense. So depending on the age of the car, what kind of wear and tear it has already experienced and gone through, it may not be worth getting extended car warranty insurance from the dealer after all.
A dealership is just like any other business when it comes right down to it; they are in the business to make as much money as possible, not lose it. In fact, some of the more unscrupulous car dealerships will deny your coverage if there's a problem, citing the fact that the vehicle has had too much wear and tear and wasn't maintained properly, which was in fact why the vehicle broke down in the first place, which in fact is your fault.
Car warranty insurance is a God send for anyone facing a big breakdown or major repairs to a vehicle. There are companies out there that do offer aftermarket car warranty insurance and some companies ever offer insurance coverage on the parts of your car that suffer from normal wear and tear. But you must be super careful and read every word of the fine print.
These companies will also try and play every game in the book to get out of paying those claims. Because in the end, car warranty insurance companies are there to make money too. The more claims a car warranty insurance company denies, the more money that company makes. Period.
So in the end, you need to be as educated as possible when it comes to choosing your coverage. Always make the effort to understand as fully as possible your car warranty insurance.
